Welcome to join us in the Third Beijing International Epilepsy Forum (3rd BIEF) in golden Autumn of Beijing, People’s Republic of China where the 29th Olympic Game took place!

  •  Main topics of the 3rd BIEF:
1, Management of patient with epilepsy (Presentation and debate):
  (1) Selection of AED(s) for i) newly diagnosed epilepsy, ii) after first AED fails and iii) refractory epilepsy;
  (2) Epilepsy surgery: pre- and post-operative evaluation; Early operation for child with epilepsy and its prognosis;
  (3) New methods for treating refractory epilepsy, as neuro-modulation, DBS, etc.
 
2, Basic research on epilepsy, especially mechanism of refractory epilepsy;
 
3, Neuro-imaging;
 
4, Psychological and psychiatric problems with epileptic patients, and comobidity;
 
5, Others:
  (1) Epileptic encephalopathy;
  (2) Management of Status epilepticus, especially for non-convulsive SE;
